The LRC
Welcome to the Goole Academy LRC!
Here you have access to around 4000 books from the library, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as 10 computers, a printer, and round tables perfect for group study. The LRC is also home to an exclusive 13+ section and an extensive collection of Accelerated Reader-levelled books for Years 7 and 8, to read during English lessons and to take home to enjoy!
There are regular creative literacy competitions and challenges held throughout the year, plus student book clubs in enrichment time.
Library Rules
- You may borrow up to two books at a time for a loan length of two weeks
- You can also renew books to extend your loan length, and reserve them for collection when they become available.
- We expect and encourage our students to develop a sense of responsibility for their library loans.
- Books that are overdue by more than 30 days will incur a £5 fine. We have a busy library and reservation lists can get quite long for some of the more popular titles so please ensure you return or renew books before they become overdue.
- Books that are lost or damaged will incur a £5 fine.
Students can browse and reserve library books through our library website which can be accessed both in school and at home. There are also links to Accelerated Reader and the Reading Routes quizzes on there too.”
