The LRC
Welcome to the Goole Academy LRC!
Here you have access to around 4,000 books from the library, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as 12 computers, a printer, and round tables perfect for group study. The LRC is also home to an ever-expanding collection of graphic novels and a section dedicated to short stories, where all the books are under 150 pages and written specifically to engage children in KS3.
The LRC is open to all students every day before school, and after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This time can be used to read, swap books, complete homework, and study.
Students can browse and reserve books through our library website, which can be accessed both in school and at home. It is also where students can leave book reviews to earn prizes through our Perks for Pages reading rewards scheme. Click the link below to access the site:

Library Rules
- You may borrow up to two books at a time for a loan period of two weeks.
- You can renew books to extend your loan period and reserve them for collection when they become available.
- We expect and encourage our students to develop a sense of responsibility for their library loans.
- Books that are overdue by more than 30 days will incur a Β£5 fine. We have a busy library, and reservation lists can become quite long for popular titles, so please ensure you return or renew books before they become overdue.
- Books that are lost or damaged will incur a Β£5 fine.
