Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® is designed to help students become proficient readers and confident learners.
PowerUp is a computer license, bought in by school, that helps children advance their reading, academic vocabulary and comprehension skills necessary for the secondary curriculum and GCSE.
Being a reading computer program makes Lexia accessible and available for students to access relatively independently and from home. We recommend spending at least 20 minutes a day on Lexia.
To set up a home laptop or computer, you will need to enter a teacher’s email address but every time you access the programme after that, you should be able to log straight in.
Lexia can be found here.
To make the initial set up, please enter your English teacher’s email address when prompted.
Please then follow all instructions to log in.
The username is the student’s first initial and surname, for example John Smith would type: JSMITH
The password is: GooleAcademy
PLEASE NOTE: Not all of our students have access to Lexia. English teachers will have made their students aware if they do.
